Dear Friends!

I'm going back to Madagascar From March 9th - March 27th to begin working on preparation for our Nature Education Center and you can join me!

I will be heading to Madagascar in 8 weeks to share native wildlife and Malagasy culture Live on the internet to raise money for our Nature Education Center in the village of Ranomafana!

This program will benefit the children in this village and surrounding villages. Many of the children that live in and near this village cannot go to school. Our weekly nature center programs and the development of our nature center will give much needed educational support to these children.

Last year the funds raised allowed us to hire 3 guides (Jose, Maurice, and Janut) a technology expert(Jocelyln), a Malagasy student (Anian), and a camera person( Terry Snyder). These funds also allowed us to share 36 Skype sessions with sixteen schools in the US and 4 Saturday school programs in Madagascar, one of which was run by UNICEF.

After my departure I was also able to run 10 additional Skype programs from the US with the children in Madagascar. These programs included live interactive videos, and activity sheets that helped the children to learn about native wildlife, and endangered species. They also developed some English skills!

Additionally, thanks to Terry Snyder who came along as our camera person last year, We successfully completed a documentary about the trip which is scheduled to air on PBS in Washington DC (WETA) this year!!

I feel it is such an important mission, that I need your help... I want to raise $50,000 for the development of our nature center which will be sufficient to effectively run our program for the next two years!
